Any candidate pursuing an Erasmus degree has the opportunity to study at two or three institutions in various countries, depending on the program requirements.

The scholarships encourage more exchange between non-European universities and their European equivalents, with average study periods ranging from three months to three years. The Erasmus Mundus catalog now has up to 163 programs.

The scholarship has been offered to over 2,500 Indian nationals since its commencement in 2004.

  • It must be an Indian national.

  • A bachelor’s degree with recognized credentials.
  • Excellent academic record and appropriate professional experience.
  • Aspirants must meet the minimal English language requirements, which are English 6 or English B at the upper secondary level, or any equivalent in an internationally recognized English proficiency test (TOEFL or IELTS).

Selection Criteria of Erasmus Mundus Scholarship

The EMHRPP’s Joint Admission Committee oversees the entire admissions process, which also includes administrative coordinators and conveners. The criteria consist of the following:

  • Motivation letter
  • Letters of recommendation and work experience.
  • These three categories establish a maximum point threshold that students may achieve. Each candidate’s final score is then used to determine selection. In most circumstances, the three categories are worth 40, 20, and 40 points, respectively.
